Ackkkkk!!!After talking on the phone with my friend Rebekah, I found out that internet explorer does not like my new site design at all!!!
I will be looking into fixing it. But if you use Firefox, you should be seeing it as it was intended.
UPDATE: Thanks to Justin it is fixed now. THANK YOU JUSTIN!!!!! You are a PEACH!!!
December GoalsDecember will be a very busy month. Lots of things to do and see. Christmas presents to wrap before the kids get out of school for the holidays, my BILs retirement ceremony, my husband’s birthday, friends coming home from deployment. Yes, it will be a very busy month indeed.
The kids will be off for Christmas vacation starting after school December 19th and go back on January 13th. The perils of year-round school -month long breaks for Christmas. That is ok, at least the weather here is generally good enough to go outside all day and play and they have friends here in the area of the neighborhood.
So what of the December goals you ask? What do I plan on working on this month if I am going to be so busy. I will be working on simple blocks. Nothing major in themselves, but smaller projects that I can do in about an hour or so.
- Simply Sophisticated - Month 3
- Designer Mystery - Months 6 & 7
- Home for the Holidays - one block
- Prairie Paisley - one block
- Sweet Treasures - months 1-4 (thank you Vicky… yea… uh huh, it is all your fault!! I had to order them after seeing them again on your blog!)
Will I get all of these done? I don’t know, but I am sure going to try my hardest. January will be the month to quilt some. I have a ton of tops to be quilted.
November Goals RevisitedSo my goals for November were pretty slim. I managed to get all but two done ( Designer Mystery Block 6 and Binding the QOV). I will probably do the Designer Mystery block later today though.
I worked on my Designer Mystery (block 2 ) ,my Simply Sophisticated BOM (months 1 & 2), put borders on my Autumn BQ, and put the binding on my Irish Chain.
The only thing only thing that I didn’t get done was binding the quilt of valor. The main obstacle on that one is I don’t have fabric that would look good as binding and/or matching thread.
Decking the Halls did a little re-decorating (again) of my blog for Christmas. Hope you like it.
Flashback Friday - Completed QuiltsI am starting a new thing - Flashback Friday. These will be my completed Quilts that I have done in the past. Hopefully I can keep up with this.
First up is:
Antique Christmas Bullseye:

This quilt was made as a quick sample to show the ladies of my quilting group in Aurora, CO how to make a bulls-eye block. I added a button to the center. It reminded me of antique Christmas look, so that is why it is called that. It was made circa 2002-2003
